| Huge Explosion at BP Refinery in Houston | 24/03/2005 |
| A huge explosion at BP's oil refinery in Texas has killed at least 14 and injured more than 70. Don Parus, BP's Texas City, refinery manager confirmed there have been fatalities from an explosion that occurred on Wednesday at around 1:20 p.m. (1920 GMT) at the company's isomerization unit at the facility. |

About 375 employees of Jacobs and its JE Merit Constructors subsidiary were involved in turnaround work at a separate unit close to the isomerization unit where the explosion occurred. |
