Kerr-McGee Corp. completes initial assessment of its Gulf of Mexico facilities and all of its major operated facilities are intact, with no structural damage from Hurricane Katrina observed. The company has begun returning workers to the gulf to further assess facilities and is restarting production and drilling activities.  |

| Marathon Update Hurricane Katrina Impact | 04/09/2005 |
Marathon Oil Corporation update concerning the Company's response to Hurricane Katrina. Efforts continue to resume refining operations at the Company's 245,000 barrel per day Garyville, La., refinery. Baring any unforeseen problems, expectations are that all seven Marathon refineries will be operating at capacity on Monday.  |

BP accounts for all but one of its employees located in the area impacted by Hurricane Katrina. BP has not identified any significant issues with the BP-operated platforms in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Most of BP's oil and gas production from these facilities is shut-in due to the ongoing lack of power and the consequent failure of the delivery infrastructure.  |

Suspected gas leak on Nexen Petroleum UK operated Scott platform in the North Sea commenced a mass evacuation of 138 offshore workers to nearby installations yesterday. All non-essential personnel on board were airlifted by helicopter after a gas was detected at around 11.20am.  |

Eni sells its 100% shareholding in IP (Italiana Petroli S.p.A) to api (anonima petroli italiana S.p.A.) for 190 million euro. Sale was authorised on 25 August 2005 by the Italian Antitrust Authority.  |
| Chevron Updates Hurricane Impacts | 08/09/2005 |
Chevron said that overwhelming majority of its 4,000 employees in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina are safe and secure and that business resumption efforts are progressing. Prior to the hurricane, Chevron safely evacuated all of its employees and contractors from offshore facilities in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.  |

| EnCana to Sell its Oil and Pipeline Business in Ecuador | 15/09/2005 |
EnCana Corporation reach agreement to sell all of its shares in subsidiaries which have oil and pipeline interests in Ecuador to Andes Petroleum Company, a joint venture of Chinese petroleum companies, for approx US$1.42 billion cash. Sale will have an effective date of July 1 2005 and is expected to close before year-end.  |

Initial assessment of BHP Billiton assets in the Gulf of Mexico following Hurricane Rita reveal that the Typhoon tension leg platform (located in 2,000 feet of water in Green Canyon area Blocks 236/237, approximately 165 miles south-southwest of New Orleans) was severed from its mooring and suffered severe damage.  |

Gazprom launche $13 billion bid for fellow Russian energy company Sibneft, a move aimed at adding crude oil to the production slate of the world's biggest natural gas company. The deal, sent to Gazprom's board of directors for approval, seeks the 72.7% stake in Sibneft currently held by Millhouse Capital, an investment company controlled by Roman Abramovich.  |

| Chevron Invests in New Deepwater Gulf of Mexico Project | 11/10/2005 |
Chevron proceeds with development of Blind Faith Field in deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The field will be developed using a semisubmersible production facility, with first production expected during the first half of 2008. Chevron is the operator and holds a 62.5 percent working interest. Chevron's partner in the Blind Faith project is Kerr-McGee Corp., which holds a 37.5 percent interest.  |

| BP To Construct New Headquarters In Aberdeen | 19/10/2005 |
BP recently announced plans for a new 200,000 square feet office complex in Dyce, just outside Aberdeen. This new building will be BP's headquarters for its Exploration and Production activities in the UK, Norway and the Netherlands. BP aims to move all 950 of its staff and a further 200 contract workers by the end of 2007.  |
