Centrica plc through a 50/50 JV with Gaz de France SA conditionally agrees to acquire a controlling 51 per cent stake in SPE SA. SPE is the second largest power generation company in Belgium with around 1.6 GW of principally gas-fired production capacity and around 400 MW of capacity.


Hydro Signs Offshore Wind Power Deal in UK29/06/2005
Hydro signs agreement to buy a 50 percent stake of Scira, a UK-based wind power group established to develop wind power in the UK. Scira has rights to build a 315 megawatt offshore wind power farm off the coast of Norfolk in England.
