Jacobs Receives South East Water Contract

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that they received a five-year engineering consultancy agreement from South East Water Ltd. Officials estimated the contract value at $1.8 million per year.

As one of two framework appointees, Jacobs will provide engineering and related services supporting the company's capital investment program to 2010, as well as assisting business plan development for the 2010 - 2015 period. South East Water is the 2nd largest water-only company in the United Kingdom, serving a population of 1.5 million.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Michael Higgins stated, "We are delighted to secure this long-term appointment. This opportunity will give us the chance to once again provide value with our engineering, environmental, planning, and project management resources in the south east and from across the U.K. in support of South East Water's investment commitments to its customers, shareholders, and regulators."
