Kellogg Brown & Root Jobs At Risk
UK employees of Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) have been warned their terms and conditions, including pension benefits, are being reviewed. Redundancies have not been ruled out, although offshore workers are not being targeted.
KBR has around 1,000 office staff in Aberdeen, together with 600 contractors. It also has around 1200 staff in the North Sea.
Last month, Halliburton stated it would offload the KBR operation at some future date, due to its loss making performance, if the Group's share price did not recover.
The company stated it is essential to ensure economic viability and a consultation process is expected to start next month for 90 days.
