Jacobs Receives Contract from Shell Deutschland Oil
A Jacobs Engineering Group subsidiary has received a contract from Shell Deutschland Oil GmbH to execute a program of small and medium sized projects for Shell's Rheinland-Godorf site.
The program, which includes basic and detailed engineering, procurement, and construction management, comprises 15 to 20 revamp projects that require some level of facility shutdown. The estimate contract values of these individual projects range from $600,000 to $12m.
In addition, the companies have been executing front-end design (conceptual and basic engineering) for an investment program in the Harbour area of the Rheinland-Godorf refinery. This element of the program, which consists of several interrelated projects including new jetties, vapour recovery units, reinstrumentation, and a tunnel, has been active since October 2002 and is likely to move into execution in mid-2004.
