Wood Group Wins Ops & Maintenance Contract in New York

Wood Group Power Operations, part of the Gas Turbine Services Division of John Wood Group, has been awarded a ten-year, $15.7m power plant services contract with Equus Power I, at the customer's simple-cycle peaking power station on Long Island, New York.

Under the contract, which combines both routine and planned on site power plant Operations & Maintenance, WGPO will provide mobilization, start-up assistance, continued plant O&M services, and scheduled major maintenance services.

The Equus contract is WGPO's fourth O&M contract success this year, and the company's third contract in New York State. WGPO have been providing contracted services for Equus at affiliated power plants on the West Coast.
