| KBR Joint Venture to Perform FEED Work | 01/05/2007 |
KBR along with joint venture partners, JGC, Technip and Snamprogetti, recently executed contract with Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) for preparation of project specifications and front end engineering and design for a two 8.5 million metric tons per annum LNG plant expansion by Nigeria LNG termed the "NLNGSevenPlus" Project. The Project is to be constructed at Bonny Island, Nigeria. NLNG Limited is a Company registered in Nigeria whose shareholders are the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Shell, Total and ENI.  |
| Jacobs Awarded Contract from National Grid | 01/05/2007 |
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. receives contract from National Grid to upgrade and develop electricity transmission network for South West region of England and Wales as part of National Grid's 2.5 billion British pounds (US$ 5 billion) program over the next five years. Jacobs will work alongside consortia partners Morrison Utility Services and Mitsubishi Electric Europe BV and are one of six consortia selected by National Grid to undertake the work across England and Wales.  |
| Jacobs Receives Contracts for Clean Fuel Project from Total | 08/05/2007 |
Jacobs Engineering Group receive two separate contracts from Total France to provide basic and detailed engineering and procurement for a clean fuel facility on Total's site at Immingham, North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. The project is essential to the refinery's capability to generate low-sulfur fuels for the diesel market.  |
| Jacobs Receives Contract From British Nuclear Group | 15/05/2007 |
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. receives contract to provide resource enhancement services to the Nuclear Decommissioning and Major Projects Department (ND&MPD) of British Nuclear Group Sellafield Ltd (BNGSL) on the delivery of major projects at the Sellafield and Capenhurst sites. ND&MPD currently has over 4,000 staff members executing projects as part of a $26 billion lifetime plan for cleanup. In the next financial year, ND&MPD will oversee $1.2 billion in spending. The new contract takes effect on May 1, 2007.  |
| Jacobs Receives Contract for Biotechnology Project | 16/05/2007 |
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. receive contract from Biogen Idec to provide engineering, procurement, validation, and site support services for the first cell culture manufacturing facility at the greenfield biotechnology plant in Hillerod, Denmark. The manufacturing facility is expected to produce TYSABRI® (natalizumab), which is used in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.  |
| ScottishPower Plans Europe's Biggest Clean Coal Project | 17/05/2007 |
ScottishPower unveiles feasibility study to convert its two biggest power stations to clean coal technology in what would be the largest project of its type in Europe. Alstom Power and Doosan Babcock will provide design input for the 'supercritical' turbines and boilers that could be fitted at the Longannet and Cockenzie power plants. Carbon emissions would be reduced by 20% at the stations which have a total generation capacity of 3390MW, more than a quarter of Scotland's electricity needs.  |
| CB&I Awarded Contract for LNG Terminal Expansion | 17/05/2007 |
CB&I awarded contract to add capacity to National Grid's liquefied natural gas import terminal at the Isle of Grain. This new expansion contract, with a value of approximately $500 million, will increase the terminal's capacity by 700 million cubic feet per day to 2.1 billion cubic feet per day.  |
Aker Kvaerner JV Wins Further Decommissioning Contract at Sellafield | 22/05/2007 |
British Nuclear Group awards ACKtiv Nuclear Joint Venture (JV) - consisting of Aker Kvaerner, Atkins and Carillion - further contract to support decommissioning at First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, located at Sellafield nuclear licensed site in the UK. ACKtiv Nuclear is to provide the systems for the removal of radioactive sludge and solid inventory from the facility for subsequent safe treatment and storage.  |
| Extension of Gas Storage Development at Aldbrough | 30/05/2007 |
Scottish and Southern Energy plc ("SSE") and Statoil (UK) Ltd secure consent from East Riding of Yorkshire Council to increase gas storage capacity at the Aldbrough site beyond that currently under development. The companies are already developing nine storage caverns at Aldbrough, with a capacity of 420 million cubic metres (mcm), and commissioning of the first of them is expected to get under way before the end of this year. It will become the UK's largest onshore gas storage facility.  |
| Jacobs Receives British Nuclear Group Framework Contract | 30/05/2007 |
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. receives Multi-Disciplinary Design House (MDDH) framework contract from British Nuclear Group Sellafield Ltd (BNGSL) following a successful rebidding process. Sellafield is the U.K.'s largest nuclear reservation, where spent nuclear fuel is reprocessed and recovered nuclear material is developed into new nuclear fuel. The site is undergoing a concurrent cleanup of legacy wastes and facilities shutdown. Now owned by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), the facility employs more than 12,000 people and is managed by BNGSL.  |
| Innovation Wins AMEC Important Waste Contracts | 31/05/2007 |
AMEC wins contracts to sample, analyse and advise on waste at three nuclear sites owned by British Nuclear Group's Magnox business in the UK. Work has begun at the three reactor sites, which are undergoing decommissioning, at Bradwell in Essex, Trawsfynydd in North Wales and Hunterston A in Scotland with AMEC conducting detailed sampling and analysis of radioactive sludges contained in silos and waste contaminated oils.  |
KBR Awarded PMC for FEED Phase of Integrated Gas Development Project | 31/05/2007 |
KBR awarded two contracts by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) affiliates Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Limited (GASCO) and Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) to provide program management for onshore and offshore portions respectively of the Integrated Gas Development Project located near Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. These services will be provided through KBR's Leatherhead and Houston offices for the onshore and offshore packages respectively.  |
| Jacobs To Provide Technical Services to U.K. Ministry of Defence | 06/06/2007 |
Jacobs Engineering Group receives contract to provide specialist technical services to U.K. Ministry of Defence's (MOD) Superintendent Nuclear Works (SNW) at HM Naval Base Devonport, Plymouth. The contract has a base period of 3 years and an option for a 3-year extension.  |
| E.ON UK to Build Carbon Neutral Power Station | 20/06/2007 |
E.ON UK plans to build carbon neutral power station in Sheffield. The company has revealed that it has put aside a substantial sum to create a new piece of artwork and also hopes to build a 25MW biomass plant on the site of the old Blackburn Meadows power station.
The new station, which could cost £55m to build, would burn a combination of recycled wood and specially grown crops such as willow and elephant grass.  |
| Petrofac Awarded Karachaganak Phase III Feed | 28/06/2007 |
Petrofac receives letter of award from Karachaganak Petroleum Operating BV (KPO) for Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) study for Phase III of development of the Karachaganak Processing Complex (KPC) in Kazakhstan. This award by KPO follows completion of a FEED study for the KPC fourth stabilisation and sweetening train, and subsequent award of the detailed engineering, procurement, construction management and commissioning support for the train.  |
| Aker Kvaerner and Praj Win Contract for World-scale Bioethanol Project in the UK | 28/06/2007 |
Aker Kvaerner selected by BP, Associated British Foods Plc (ABF) and DuPont to execute Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) for a planned new world-scale bioethanol plant in the UK. Aker Kvaerner's joint venture partner Praj Industries (Praj) from India will provide the technology and process package. BP and ABF subsidiary British Sugar Plc will each own 45 percent of the new grass roots facility planned for BP's Saltend site, near Hull, with DuPont owning the remaining 10 percent. The world-scale wheat to ethanol plant will produce some 420 million litres of fuel ethanol a year.  |
