BP A spokeswoman for BP has said that the company will be adding about 50 additional posts to its 850 offshore staff in the UK North Sea as new shift patterns come into play.

New shifts allow for working two weeks on and three weeks off.

Restructuring of BP's North Sea business was completed in 2008. Since then, staff numbers have remained steady and the company have no plans for further reductions in the workforce.
