Jacobs Wins Contract from University of Manchester
Jacobs has won a contract to provide mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural engineering services from the University of Manchester. The project involves refurbishing, expanding, demolishing and replacing various buildings that are currently in separate ownership and occupation. Work has already begun under the contract.
The framework agreement which has an initial period of 3 years and is extendable to 5 years involves integrating the campuses of Manchester Victoria University and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology into a single entity. Total construction costs are estimated to be in excess of £275m.
