Costain Awarded Gas Fields StudyCostain Oil Gas and Process has been awarded an engineering study by GDF Britain Ltd (GDFB) on behalf of the joint venture partners of the Orca Minke gas development project in the UK Southern North Sea. The scope of the study will include identifying key engineering details, project costs and schedule. The Orca Minke discoveries represent one of the largest undeveloped accumulations in the Southern Gas Basin. Field Operator GDFB is considering a new build inerts (carbon dioxide and nitrogen) removal plant on the east coast of the UK to provide processing capability for the Orca Minke fields and other similar lo-cal gas fields. Costain have completed similar facilities for PowerGen in North Wales to process gas from Liverpool Bay, and another plant for Lasmo/Eni in Pakistan. Added to site on 29/10/03 |
