Jacobs Receives Borealis' Partnership Contract

Jacobs have received a contract from Borealis for an engineering partnership to provide comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction management services for small projects in Europe.

The partnership is designed to support Borealis' modification and capital investment program, valued at more than $100 million for all European sites in total; deliver increasing value through consistency in project execution across the various sites; and facilitate continuous improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.

The contract initially covers three Borealis locations in Belgium (Kallo and Beringen) and Sweden (Stenungsund), with the intention to expand the agreement to include Borealis' other European sites.

Jacobs will perform project services from its network of offices throughout Europe. In addition, the agreement provides for the transfer of Borealis engineering staff at Stenungsund to Jacobs, who continues to support locally the Borealis site in Sweden.
