BOC signs major deal with Kuwait state oil company

BOC, based in Guildford, has received a major order worth more than £2 million to supply its SURE technology to Kuwait's state-owned oil company, Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).

The order for five burners, the largest ever supplied by BOC, have been ordered by Larsen & Toubro Limited of India, who are the principal engineering and construction contractor for the two projects in Kuwait. Three of the burners, plus three oxygen control systems, will be installed at KNPC's Mina-Abdulla refinery and two burners at the Shuaiba refinery.

The burners at the Shuaiba refinery are due to come on stream at the beginning of 2004 and at the Mina-Abdulla refinery by September 2004.
