Talisman contracts awarded to Subsea 7
Aberdeen based Subsea 7 has been awarded two U.K. contracts by Talisman Energy (UK) Limited with a combined value in the region of $4 million. The first will be conducted under the existing Talisman/Subsea 7 Frame Agreement and is for work associated with the tie-back of the Hannay 2 well. The scope of work includes project management and engineering for the removal and replacement of the Subsea Control Module, production and gas lift chokes and associated pipework on the Hannay 1 manifold as well as the fabrication and installation of tie-in spoolpieces and an umbilical jumper between the Hannay 2 well and the Hannay 1 manifold. The work will be completed during May and June 2003 utilizing two of Subsea 7's North Sea fleet.
The second award is for a call-off contract for provision of personnel and equipment to perform surface diving services onboard the Buchan Alpha semisubmersible. The services will cover both planned and ad hoc intervention during 2003 and will generally consist of inspection and maintenance tasks in the air diving range. The scope of work includes onshore project management and engineering services to support both the development of the appropriate technical solutions and the subsequent offshore works.
