Jacobs win Janssen Contract in Ireland

Jacobs announced that they have received a contract from Janssen Pharmaceuticals Ltd. to provide engineering services for the development of a new 3 Production Module active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) manufacturing facility at Janssen's existing site at Little Island, County Cork, Ireland.

Jacobs has a strong relationship with Janssen and its parent company, Johnson & Johnson, in the U.S. and Europe, and has supported them locally at the Little Island site since 1996. Jacobs will design the facility to meet any future production and expansion requirements.

Janssen will use its new production facility for the expanded manufacture of existing products and one new aseptic API product. Jacobs' expertise in innovative technology application and in the design of aseptic and API manufacturing facilities are key to the success of the facility.
