Technip Offshore win Ramco Seven Heads Contract
Technip Offshore UK Limited, has been awarded the pipelines and subsea infrastructure EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning) contract from Ramco Seven Heads Limited, a subsidiary of Ramco Energy plc, for their Seven Heads development in Quadrant 48 of the North Celtic Sea Basin, South West Ireland.
The contract, worth in excess of £35 million, forms part of one of Ireland’s largest new gas developments.
As part of the contract, Technip Offshore UK will undertake the project management, engineering and design, manufacture and installation of all five in-field flowlines required to tieback the six wells to a central manifold (a total of 27 km of 8” flowlines). It shall also be responsible for the installation of the new manifold at Seven Heads and the project management, procurement and installation of all subsea control umbilicals (a total of 65km) between the remote wells, central manifold and Marathon’s Kinsale ‘A’ platform. All subsea tie-ins, testing and pre-commissioning of the completed infrastructure will also be carried out by Technip Offshore UK with a target of first gas before the end of 2003.
It is believed that fabrication of the rigid flowlines will be undertaken at Technip-Coflexip’s Evanton spool base in Scotland with the umbilicals manufactured by Technip-Coflexip subsidiary, Duco in Newcastle.
