Mott MacDonald win 4 Year Oman ProjectMott MacDonald has been appointed by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to provide multi-disciplinary design services for oil and gas development projects in Oman. This will include new, modification and revamp projects under the Qarn Alam and Bahja Asset Development Areas. Contractors Unlimited were not advised of the contract value. The scope of services, comprising over 200,000 man hours per year, will cover conceptual and detailed design of new projects as well as extensions to existing production facilities, oil evacuation and export facilities plus inter / intra-field pipelines and flowlines. The consultant will also advise on facilities integrity projects, upgrading of existing facilities and safety issues associated with oil and gas production facilities, waste management and transport. PDO has publicly and explicitly committed itself to contributing to the sustainable development of energy sources in the Sultanate. Mott MacDonald's framework agreement will support the company's exploration, development work and operational activities in Oman up until 2006. |
