Bechtel Wins OGD-III/AGD-II FEED Contract
Bechtel's P&C GBU has won one of the largest FEED contracts ever awarded in the Middle East. GASCO, the onshore gas processing subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), has selected them for the OGD-III/AGD-II FEED in Abu Dhabi.
The scope of the FEED includes basic design and preparation of EPC tender packages for five separate plants representing a total TIC of approximately $2.6 billion. The plants include GASCO's OGD-III, AGD-II and Ruwais NGL II facilities plus a gas gathering/injection system for ADCO and a gas storage facility for TAKREER. Work on the 14-month FEED will begin in May 2002, and be executed in the Hammersmith, London office where GASCO's PMT and PMC teams will also be located.
P&C's London office constructed and commissioned the GASCO OGD-1 and OGD-II gas plants at Habshan in 1996 and 2000 respectively. The OGD-III/AGD-II projects represent the next phase in ADNOC's long-term strategic program for the expansion of gas resources in Abu Dhabi.
