CB&I Announces Technology Awards in China

CB&ampI CB&I announced today that Lummus Technology has been awarded a contract by Liaoning Tongyi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for the license and engineering design of grassroots OCT olefins conversion units and CATOFIN® dehydrogenation units at several of its sites in the People's Republic of China.

The units will produce 684 metric tonnes per annum (MTA) of isobutylene and 950 MTA of propylene. Isobutylene and propylene are building blocks in the petrochemical industry used to produce a variety of finished products, including plastics and automotive parts.
