Cape Middle East Wins £2.2 million Insulation Contract from Sinopec

Cape Cape is pleased to announce that its Middle East operations have been awarded a Letter of Intent from SINOPEC E&C, the Engineering and Construction department of China Petrochemical Corporation, to provide insulation works on the CDU/VDU plant on the Jubail Export Refinery in Saudi Arabia.

The contract award follows the successful completion of works by Cape for SINOPEC on the Kayan plant, also in Saudi Arabia.

The contract, valued at £2.2 million, is due to run for eight months, completing December 2012.

Cape plc, which is listed on AIM (CIU), provides a range of non-mechanical industrial services including access systems, insulation, painting, coatings, blasting, industrial cleaning, training and assessment to both industrial plant operators and major international engineering and construction companies. Cape employs c.17,000 people in 28 countries with its four main markets being the UK, Gulf/Middle East, CIS, Mediterranean and North Africa, and the Far East/ Pacific Rim. In the year ended 31 December 2009, Cape reported turnover of £655.1 million.
