Foster Wheeler Wins Condenser Project for Power Plant in Turkey

Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq: FWLT) has announced that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group has been awarded a contract for the design and supply of two axial deaerating surface condensers for the Samsun Power Plant in Turkey.
Foster Wheeler has received a full notice to proceed on this contract. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, and the contract value will be included in the company's first-quarter 2010 bookings. The delivery of the two condensers is scheduled for the first quarter of 2011.
Under the terms of the contract, Foster Wheeler Energia, S.L. in Madrid will supply the condensers to METKA, S.A. (Athens, Greece), which is acting as EPC contractor for the project. Foster Wheeler has previously supplied condensers to METKA for five separate projects.
