Missing Person on Beryl Alpha Platform in North Sea

ExxonMobil A search has been launched for an oil worker reported missing around 3am today on the Beryl Alpha offshore platform in the North Sea. Aberdeen Coastguard was informed following a muster station on the platform.

Beryl Alpha Platform is 90 miles south east of Shetland and is operated by Mobil North Sea.

The missing man who works for Petrofac was last seen at midnight.

A full search is being conducted on the platform while a Coastguard rescue helicopter from Sumburgh is at the scene as well as two offshore standby vessels.
