KBR has been awarded a contract by Abu Dhabi
Gas Liquefaction Company Ltd. (ADGAS) to provide program management consultancy (PMC) for the Flare Handling & Emission Reduction (FHER) Project on Das Island, Abu Dhabi.
KBR will provide project management services for a flare handling and emissions reduction front-end engineering and design (FEED) project. The prime objective of the project is to assist ADGAS in reaching its goal of fulfilling its new zero flaring objectives. The plant - which produces liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), Paraffinic Naphtha and sulfur - currently flares an estimated 10-15 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of sweet and sour gas. Work on the project is expected to begin immediately. Services will be provided through KBR's Leatherhead offices.
