Jacobs Receives Contracts from Total in Germany

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has received a 2-year renewal of its contract with Total Raffinerie Mitteldeutschland GmbH to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services at Total's refinery at Spergau in Eastern Germany.

Officials did not disclose the value of this umbrella contract; however, Jacobs will continue performing the work from its office in Schkopau, Germany, near the refinery site.

The Spergau facility, which has a capacity of 11 million tons per year, is the newest grassroots refinery in Europe.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Andy Kremer said, "We're very pleased to continue as Total's local partner and strengthen our long-term relationship throughout Northern Europe. This work is important to maintaining Total's global leadership position in refining."
