AMEC Wins £20m Engineering Services Contract in Middle East

AMEC logoAMEC has been awarded a four-year engineering services contract by Saudi Arabian Chevron Inc/Kuwait Gulf Oil Company Joint Operations (JO) covering the Kuwait onshore portion of the Divided Zone between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

The value of the contract is £20 m over the four years.

The work covers provision of engineering advisory services, including front-end engineering, design work and the preparation of tender documents. This is a follow-on contract and assures work for the existing team as well as being a further catalyst in the development of AMEC's Kuwait Engineering Services group (KES).

"AMEC has been operating in Kuwait for many years. Winning this contract is proof of our standing in the region, and is key to our strategy of growth," said Craig Muir, Middle East Regional Director of AMEC's Natural Resources division. "AMEC companies have held this contract for the last ten years and this award again demonstrates to our clients that we are able to support their plans in the region."
