Jacobs Awarded Contract by Lyondell Chemical

Jacobs Engineering Group has received a contract award from Lyondell Chemical Technology Limited, a subsidiary of Lyondell Chemical Company, to provide engineering design services to prepare the technical details of the licensor's project design package for the world's largest propylene oxide/styrene monomer (POSM) project in Ningbo, China.

The target is to produce 274,000 metric tons of propylene oxide and 620,000 metric tons of styrene monomer annually.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Executive Vice President Greg Landry stated, "The POSM project enables us to provide to Lyondell with the high-end technical expertise required during the initial stages of this complex project. We are excited to expand our relationship with Lyondell to support them in a wide range of project related activities."
