Qatar Petroleum Gets $2bn Tunisian Refinery Deal
Tunisia's Energy Ministry granted the state-owned Qatar Petroleum company a $2bn refinery deal, ministry and company officials have said.
"We are happy to sign the agreement with Tunisia to construct a refinery whose capacity is about 150,000 barrels per day", HE Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah, Qatar's Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy and Industry, said at the deal signing ceremony in Tunis.
The Qatari company, in partnership with UK company, Petrofac, was selected by the Tunisian Ministry to build, own, manage and run the refinery for at least 30 years.
