Shaw to Provide Project Management Services for Gas Injection Facilities Project

The Shaw Group's Shaw Stone & Webster business unit has been selected by Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) to provide project management services for its $1.6 billion Umm Shaif Gas Injection Facilities Project in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

The project is designed to enhance oil production from the Umm Shaif Field by an average of 50,000 barrels per day beginning in 2010. Shaw will oversee the design, construction and commissioning of offshore facilities including new platforms and associated pipelines and bridges, in addition to major modifications to three existing gas wellhead towers in the Umm Shaif Field.

Bernhard, Jr., Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Shaw, said, "Shaw supervised the front end engineering design in the early stages of this prestigious project to enhance oil production from the Umm Shaif Field. We are very pleased to continue to provide project management services for ADMA-OPCO during the EPC phase of this project."
