SNC Lavalin Acquires Spanish Engineering Firm INGESGRUP S.A.
SNC-Lavalin has acquired INGESGRUP S.A. and its subsidiaries, which includes INTECSA-INARSA, a Spanish engineering group recognized for its strong record of infrastructure in mass transit, water engineering, ports and marine facilities, tunnels and bridges and, the industrial sector, with its expertise in the construction of gas compression stations.
With its head office in Madrid and five other offices throughout Spain, INTECSA-INARSA has increased the number of SNC-Lavalin employees in Europe by 500.
"This acquisition represents a key part of our strategy to further penetrate Spain's dynamic marketplace, while building on our expertise in the infrastructure and industrial sectors," said Jean Claude Pingat, Executive Vice-President, SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. and President of SNC-Lavalin S.A.S. in Europe. "These are highly skilled engineers with clients throughout Europe, so this acquisition will also strengthen our current network of offices."
SNC-Lavalin S.A.S. in Europe is a subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin.
