LNG Terminal Extension Contract for Jacobs

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has received a contract to provide conceptual engineering studies and owner engineering support for an extension of Gaz de France's (GDF's) liquid natural gas (LNG) terminal in France.

The site, located at Montoir-de-Bretagne, is an active terminal for the loading and storage of LNG at atmospheric pressure before its gasification at 80 bar and subsequent transport through GDF's transmission network within the country. This revamp project is phased to increase overall capacity by 65 percent.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Andy Kremer stated, "This is an exciting opportunity to extend our relationship with GDF and furthers our strategic objective to grow Jacobs' hydrocarbon business in France. We are staffed and ready to deliver a high-caliber facility that will strengthen GDF's gas market leadership."
