Jacobs Receives Canadian Natural Horizon Construction Contract

Jacobs Engineering Group has received a contract from Canadian Natural Resources Limited (Canadian Natural) to proceed with construction of a naphtha hydrotreater for Phase 1 of Canadian Natural's Horizon Oil Sand Project located north of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.

Jacobs employs over 10,000 craft employees across North America and will support this major construction effort locally, drawing from our 5,000-strong workforce in Canada. Planning and mobilisation have commenced and physical construction is expected to be completed in the spring of 2008.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Greg Landry stated, "We look forward to expanding our engineering relationship with Canadian Natural to include construction services. Our unmatched industry labour pool enables us to support this project from our existing Canadian resource base, which extends from British Columbia to Nova Scotia."
