Jacobs to Provide Construction Management At-risk Services01/03/2006
Jacobs Engineering subsidiary receives contract from Pinellas County (Florida) Utilities to provide construction management at-risk services for new water treatment/blending facility. The new water blending facility will provide uniform water quality to all of Pinellas County Utilities' nearly 665,000 customers (retail and wholesale) and replace obsolete water treatment and pumping infrastructure.


North West Upgrading Contract for Jacobs01/03/2006

Engineering Services Contract for WorleyParsons01/03/2006
WorleyParsons awarded US$69 million contract to provide services to Al-Khafji Joint Operations. Contract is to provide engineering services for suite of expansion and renovation projects for Al-Khafji Joint Operations' existing oil and gas production facilities (both offshore and onshore). Engineering services will be primarily executed in WorleyParsons' Perth offices (Western Australia) together with site-based work in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Fluor to Begin Construction of Power Plant in Nevada07/03/2006
Fluor to begin construction of 200-megawatt, coal-fired power plant in Nevada for Newmont Mining Corporation. Employees in Fluor's Greenville, S.C., office began work on this project shortly after receiving a limited notice to proceed from Newmont Mining near the end of 2004.


J. Ray McDermott Awarded Pipeline Contract07/03/2006
J. Ray McDermott, S.A. ("J. Ray") subsidiary awarded contract by Vietsovpetro to install a 298 kilometer, 18" gas pipeline. J. Ray will perform the project in alliance with Petroleum Technical Services Company ("PTSC"). The contract is part of the Gas Power Fertilizer Coordination Project operated by PetroVietnam.


Clean Fuels Project for CB&I07/03/2006
CB&I awarded lump-sum turnkey contract by major U.S. refiner to supply diesel hydrotreater for one of its refineries in the United States. CB&I's scope of work for the project consists of the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of a 16,000 barrel per day diesel hydrotreater plus related ancillary equipment and systems.


Foster Wheeler Awarded Contract for Greek Refinery Upgrade08/03/2006
Foster Wheeler Italiana S.p.A. awarded front-end engineering design (FEED) contract by Hellenic Petroleum S.A. (HELPE) for upgrade of the Elefsina refinery in Greece. Foster Wheeler will provide complete process design package, and also carry out basic engineering, preparation of studies for necessary permits, early procurement, and preparation of invitation to bid package for engineering, procurement and construction phase.


PETRORabigh Signs Financing Agreements for Rabigh Refinery and Petrochemical Project08/03/2006
PETRORabigh, JV between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, sign financing agreements in London with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) and 17 financial institutions in respect of facilities totaling US$5.8 billion. Facilities raised for Rabigh Refinery and Petrochemical Project to be developed on western coast of Saudi Arabia.

JGC Corporation awarded EPC contract by Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (PETRORabigh), as joint venture company in Saudi Arabia between Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) and Sumitomo Chemical Company Ltd. (Sumitomo Chemical) of Japan.


Foster Wheeler to Supply Boilers to SINOPEC's Qingdao Refinery09/03/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd. subsidiaries of its Global Power Group awarded contract by unit of China National Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC) to supply two 75 MWe circulating fluidized-bed boilers. The boilers will be built at Qingdao Refinery & Chemical Co. Ltd. in Shandong Province, People's Republic of China.


Jacobs Awarded Suncor Energy Services Oil Recovery Contract13/03/2006
Jacobs subsidiary receives contract from Suncor Energy Services to proceed with engineering design specification work for Stage 3 of Suncor's Firebag in-situ oil sands program near Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. This continuation of work on the plant's Stage 3 central processing facility is the next stage of development in the multi-phase program to recover oil from Suncor's vast oil sands reserves northeast of Fort McMurray.

Power Plant Project for Mott MacDonald14/03/2006
Mott MacDonald appointed employer's engineer for 1000MW captive power plant being developed to provide the power requirements of Sohar Aluminium's new smelter project, following a competitive bidding process. The approximately £250 million facility is set to be the biggest greenfield power generation project to be built in the Sultanate and will be located at the Sohar industrial port.


Wood Group Power Operations Awarded O&M Contracts15/03/2006
Wood Group Power Operations, Inc. awarded four O&M contracts by LS Power Generation at electric generating facilities in the Western United States to be acquired by LS Power from Duke Energy North America.


Jacobs Receives EPCM Contract from BA Energy15/03/2006
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. subsidiary company receives contract for engineering, procurement, and construction management of first phase of BA Energy's Heartland Upgrader Project to be located in Strathcona County, near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Jacobs recently completed, in conjunction with engineering partner Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), the front-end engineering of facilities, including the AFE estimate. L&T will perform the engineering work associated with the pyrolysis unit and associated facilities.


Biomass Boiler Win for Foster Wheeler in Finland15/03/2006
Foster Wheeler Ltd's Finnish subsidiary Foster Wheeler Energia Oy, part of its Global Power Group, awarded contract for design, supply and erection of peat- and biomass-fired circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) boiler island by Tornion Voima Oy, a subsidiary of Etela-Pohjanmaan Voima Oy (EPV). The boiler will be supplied for Tornion Voima's combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Tornio, northern Finland.


Pressure Diffusers Expansion Project for Aker Kvaerner16/03/2006
Aker Kvaerner awarded contract for two pressure diffusers as an important part of an expansion project in the People's Republic of China. Kvaerner Pulping, part of Aker Kvaerner group, will provide engineering, procurement and supervision services under the new contract.


Gassi Touil LNG Project Launched in Algeria16/03/2006
Repsol YPF, Gas Natural and Sonatrach sign constitution of joint venture that sets in motion the integrated Gassi Touil gas project in Algeria. The new company, called Sociedad de Licuefacción (SDL), will construct and operate the natural gas liquefaction terminal that is part of this project, and which also contemplates the exploration, production, liquefaction and the commercialization of hydrocarbon reserves block in the eastern Algerian regions of Gassi Touil, Rhourde Nouss and Hamra.


KCA Deutag Drilling Norge Awarded Drilling Contract Extension22/03/2006
KCA DEUTAG Drilling Norge AS confirmed contract with Hydro for production drilling services on six of the company's fixed installations on Norwegian continental shelf extended for two years, until 1 July 2008.


J Ray McDermott Awarded Su Tu Vang Project29/03/2006
J. Ray McDermott subsidiary awarded contract by Cuu Long Joint Operating Company to provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation, hook-up and commissioning services for a Central Processing and Production platform with an integrated 16,400 short ton deck, and associated infield pipelines for the Su Tu Vang field, offshore Vietnam.


Repsol YPF and Acciona Sign Biodiesel Production Agreement29/03/2006
Repsol YPF and Acciona sign agreement to build and develop biodiesel plants in Spain that will produce over one million tonnes per year, using vegetable oils as raw material. Agreement means an estimated investment of 300 million euros and is the biggest ever signed up to now in the scope of biodiesel.


Shaw Awarded EPC Contract for Geothermal Plant31/03/2006
Indonesian subsidiary of Shaw Stone & Webster unit awarded engineering, procurement and construction contract for new 60 megawatt geothermal power plant by PT Pertamina. The plant, which will be located in Kamojang, Java, Indonesia, is the first Pertamina independent power project to sell electricity to Indonesia's national electric power utility, PLN.


Shaw Awarded Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit Project31/03/2006
Shaw Stone & Webster awarded contract by SK Corporation for basic design, procurement of critical equipment and project management for 60,000 barrels per stream per day fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit in Ulsan, Korea. Under the contract, Shaw will integrate 14 process units, define the utility and offsite requirements and provide assistance in the overall management of the project.


Qatar Petroleum and Hydro Sign Joint Venture Agreement31/03/2006
Qatar Petroleum and Hydro sign agreement to form joint venture for development, construction and operation of aluminium plant in Qatar. Joint venture company, Qatalum, will be established to build and operate the primary aluminium plant - consisting of smelter, casthouse and carbon plant - as well as dedicated power plant. Qatar Petroleum and Hydro will each hold 50 percent of the new company.


CB&I to Supply Gas Processing Complex in Angola31/03/2006
CB&I awarded lump-sum contract to provide gas processing and treating complex in Cabinda Province, Angola, for Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Ltd. (CABGOC), a wholly owned Chevron subsidiary. CB&I's scope of work for the project consists of the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of gas processing and treating complex that will help CABGOC eliminate flaring of associated gas and recover hydrocarbon vapors from its oil storage terminal, and produce saleable natural gas liquids.


Jacobs Awarded Suncor FEED Contract03/04/2006
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. subsidiary receives contract to provide front-end engineering and detailed design services for new sulphur complex at Suncor's oil sands facility near Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. Scope represents second stage of engineering design work Jacobs began in 2004 for Suncor's Voyageur Sulphur Complex.


CB&I Wins Award for Gas Storage Project in Qatar03/04/2006
CB&I awarded lump-sum turnkey contract to engineer and construct multiple tanks for storage of liquefied petroleum gas and gas condensate in Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar. CB&I's work scope encompasses engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of two double-wall steel full containment LPG tanks, 14 floating roof tanks for gas condensate storage and one caustic storage tank. CB&I also responsible for foundations, as well as piping, electrical and instrumentation.


Petrobras Announces Site of Rio de Janeiro Petrochem Complex03/04/2006
Petróleo Brasileiro S/A - Petrobras - approves location of the Rio de Janeiro Petrochemical Complex - COMPERJ in the municipality of Itaboraí and São Gonçalo, state of Rio de Janeiro. Initial phase of the project involves the construction of a Basic Petrochemical Unit (UPB) in partnership with the National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) and, eventually, other interested parties representing an investment of US$ 3.5 billion.


Mott MacDonald Assists Expansion of Mitsui's Thai Water Business03/04/2006

Wood Group-Led JV Wins Contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum12/04/2006
SKSWood Sdn Bhd ("SKSWood"), joint venture led by a subsidiary of John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), with Syarikat Kejuruteraan Sistematik (SKS) and Petrokon Utama Sdn Bhd ("Petrokon") awarded new $multi-million contract, by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Snd Bhd (BSP) to design, procure, construct and install marine water injection pipelines and umbilical cables in Brunei Darussalam. Contract is for 17 months and expected to create more than 140 jobs.

BP Plan Debottlenecking Project at Geel Plant13/04/2006
BP to proceed with project for major increase in purified terephthalic acid (PTA) production capacity at its Geel, Belgium. BP also recently completed a significant increase in plant's paraxylene (PX) production capacity. Planned debottleneck of PTA production at Geel will increase capacity by more than 350,000 tonnes a year, making total PTA production capacity of Geel site some 1.4 million tonnes year.


Wood Group Awarded Contract in Algeria13/04/2006
Wood Group Engineering & Production Facilities awarded engineering & construction modifications contract by three partners of In Amenas Project in Algeria, (BP, Statoil and Sonatrach, the Algerian state oil company). Initial contract is for 18 months, with a possible 2-year extension and is expected to create more than 100 new jobs.

SNC-Lavalin and Saipem J.V. Awarded Khurais Oil Field Contract17/04/2006
SNC-Lavalin and Saipem S.A. joint venture awarded converted lump sum turnkey contract by Saudi Aramco to design and build seawater injection plants which form key part of the Khurais Oil Field Development Program in Saudi Arabia. Contract commences on reimbursable basis converting to fixed price lump sum turnkey contract once project's details are further defined.

Agreement Signed for Cabiúnas-Vitória Gas Pipeline Construction18/04/2006
Petróleo Brasileiro S/A (Petrobras)and Chinese stateowned oil group, Sinopec, signed an engineering, procurement and construction agreement on 17 April for Cabiúnas-Vitória (Gascav) gas pipeline. This is the first stretch of Gasene, the Southeast-Northeast Gas Pipeline, which will interconnect carry natural gas suppliers in the Southeast and Northeast regions.


Statoil Modernisation to Extend Snorre A's Producing Life19/04/2006
Contract for new module on the Snorre A platform awarded by operator Statoil to Leirvik Module Technology. Intended to enhance safety on the floating North Sea installation, delivery covers unit containing new control room, cabins and galley.


Mott MacDonald Appointed Owner's Engineer for RAF B221/04/2006
Mott MacDonald appointed owner's engineer by Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) for Ras Abu Fontas B2 (RAF B2) power and water plant, an extension to the existing B plant located near to Doha. RAF B2 is being developed by a consortium including General Electric and FISIA Italimpianti under an engineer, procure and construct contract.


SNC-Lavalin Awarded CPF Contract by Saudi Aramco21/04/2006
SNC-Lavalin awarded converted lump sum turnkey contract by Saudi Aramco to design and build Shaybah Central Processing Facilities (CPF) which form the core project within Shaybah Expansion Program in Saudi Arabia. Facilities include a gas/oil separation plant, gas compression facilities and utilities.


Shaw Signs Letter of Intent with SABIC24/04/2006
Shaw Stone & Webster sign letter of intent with Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) affiliate Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (YANSAB) to provide detailed engineering, procurement and construction for two new units, a butene plant and an aromatics plant. The new units will be located within SABIC's YANSAB petrochemical complex in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.


KBR to Design, Build and Operate Ammonia Plant in Egypt24/04/2006
KBR to build and operate Egypt Basic Industries Corporation's (EBIC) new ammonia plant using the company's proprietary ammonia technology, KAAP™ (KBR Advanced Ammonia Process). KBR will provide engineering, procurement and construction and operation and maintenance (O&M) services to the 2,000 metric ton per day (mtpd) export-focused greenfield ammonia plant, to be located in Ain Sokhna, Egypt.


Technip Awarded Pipeline Contract by BG Trinidad and Tobago25/04/2006
Technip awarded contract by BG Trinidad and Tobago for flowlines(1), risers(2), and umbilicals(3) for North Coast Marine Area (NCMA) Development, offshore Trinidad. Contract includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning of insulated riser, flowline and umbilical systems that will connect Eastern Hibiscus and Chaconia subsea wells to the Hibiscus Platform.


Statoil Award Contract for Pipeline Heating on Tyrihans25/04/2006
NOK 185 million contract covering cables and associated equipment for direct electric heating (DEH) of underwater pipelines awarded by Statoil to Nexans Norway. Involving 46 kilometres of 52 kV cable, the system will be used for subsea installations on the Tyrihans field operated by the group in the Norwegian Sea.


Repsol YPF Heads Bio-diesel Research Project27/04/2006
The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, via the Centre for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI in Spanish), grants subsidy of over EUR22 million to group of companies, headed by Repsol YPF, for large-scale four-year research and development project on bio-diesel.
