Aker Reinertsen Awarded Modification Contract for Tyrihans Field03/07/2006
Contract awarded to Aker Reinertsen for modification work on Kristin and Åsgard B platforms in the Norwegian Sea in connection with the Tyrihans field development. Contract value NOK 440 million. Aker Reinertsen will have overall responsibility for integration of Tyrihans on board Kristin and Åsgard B.

Eni Starts Development of Blacktip Gas Field Offshore Australia04/07/2006
Eni starts development of Blacktip gas field, located in the Timor Sea approximately 110 km off the shore of Northern Australia in the Bonaparte Basin. Project provides for drilling of 2 initial development wells, installation of a production platform, laying of a 108-kilometer long offshore pipeline and construction of an onshore treatment plant


Technip Awarded Contract for Vaccine Plant in China05/07/2006
Technip awarded contract by Chengdu Institute of Biological Products (CDIBP) for design, construction and qualification of new production unit for Japanese encephalitis vaccines. Technip's operations and engineering centre in Paris will provide the pharmaceutical and regulatory expertise in support of Technip's Shanghai center, which will carry out the studies, project management and execution.


Jacobs Awarded EPCM Contract for PVC Plant06/07/2006
Jacobs Engineering receives contract from Chemplast Sanmar to provide engineering, procurement assistance, and construction management (EPCM) services for a 160,000-tons-per-annum polyvinylchloride (PVC) plant. The plant will produce primarily four grades of S- PVC but is being designed to produce the full range of PVC grades as necessary to satisfy market requirements.


Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil Launch Al Khaleej Gas Phase-210/07/2006
ExxonMobil Middle East Gas Marketing Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation, the State of Qatar and Qatar Petroleum today announced the signing of a development plan and the launch of the Al Khaleej Gas-Phase Two (AKG-2) project. This follows the completion of the initial stage of the project, AKG-1, which started up in November 2005.


Breakthrough Award for Ormen Lange Subsea Compression10/07/2006
Hydro awards Aker Kvaerner total contract which could be worth up to NOK 850 million for Subsea Compression Pilot for Ormen Lange. This is a world first for subsea compression. If the project provides the expected results, the Ormen Lange partners will have a cost effective alternative to the offshore platform originally planned.


The Andersons, Inc. and Marathon to Build Ethanol Plants11/07/2006
Marathon Oil Corporation and The Andersons, Inc., sign letter of intent which could lead to formation of a 50/50 joint venture that would construct and operate a number of ethanol plants. Statoil and partners investing NOK 1.6 billion in measures to sustain production on Sleipner West field in the North Sea. Major contracts are now in place. The Sleipner B platform's compression capacity must be increased to compensate for dropping pressure in the reservoir.


CB&I to Supply Hydrogen Plant for Air Liquide25/07/2006
Air Liquide Large Industries U.S. LP selects CB&I to provide large-scale hydrogen production facility that will be built at ConocoPhillips' refinery in Rodeo, California. Plant will supply high-purity hydrogen to meet existing and future requirements of the Rodeo refinery and also support future opportunities for hydrogen supply in the San Francisco area.


Babcock & Wilcox Company Awarded Scrubber Contract25/07/2006
McDermott International, Inc. subsidiary, The Babcock & Wilcox Company ("B&W"), received contract from Allegheny Energy for engineering, materials, construction, start-up and commissioning of wet flue gas desulfurization ("FGD") units at the Hatfield's Ferry Power Station, located in Masontown, Pennsylvania.


Clipper Windpower and BP Announce Strategic Turbine Supply and Joint Development Agreement25/07/2006
Clipper Windpower and BP Alternative Energy entered into strategic alliance for long-term turbine supply agreement and joint development of five of Clipper's wind energy projects in the USA. The five wind projects, with an anticipated total generating capacity of 2,015 MW, are located in New York, Texas, and South Dakota.


Technip Awarded Contract for Reeled Pipe Installation Services25/07/2006
Technip, in consortium with Subsea 7, received letter of intent from Statoil for a 2 year Frame Contract for reeled pipe installation services in Norway. Consortium is based on a 50/50 split of revenue and contribution of internal resources and assets between the two parties.


Dow Awards Aker Kvaerner Engineering Contract For Two EO/EG Projects in China25/07/2006
The Union Carbide Chemicals & Plastics Technology Corporation (UCCPTC), a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, has awarded Aker Kvaerner an engineering contract to assist in the development of process design packages and extended process design packages for two Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycol (EO/EG) plants that will use the METEOR(TM) LEC EO/EG technology.


CB&I to Supply Vessels for Canadian Oil Sands Expansion Project25/07/2006
CB&I awarded contract by Suncor Energy Services Inc. to engineer and construct process vessels for proposed expansion of its oil sands upgrading capacity. CB&I's scope of work for project includes detail design, fabrication and on-site assembly of four coke drums and one fractionator column for phase one and two coke drums for phase two.


SNC Lavalin Awarded Thermal Power Plant Contracts in Algeria25/07/2006
SNC-Lavalin sign two contracts with Shariket Kahraba Hadjret En Nouss S.p.A. (S.K.H. Project expected to take approximately three years to complete, after Ingleside Energy Center elects to issue Notice to Proceed.


Aker Awarded Options for Work on Statoil Platforms26/07/2006
Statoil released two year options for maintenance and modification work on its Norwegian offshore installations in the Tampen area to Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner AS, and on the Halten/Nordland area to Aker Reinertsen AS.


Vetco to Upgrade F&G Detection Systems on Ula26/07/2006
BP Norge and Vetco Aibel sign contract where Vetco Aibel shall do engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of new fire and gas detectors with its control system on the three Ula platforms. The Ula field is located on the Norwegian side of the North Sea, and operated by BP Norge. Vetoc Aibel's project team will be located in Stavanger, Norway, and the offshore installation will be done by staff from Haugesund.


ConocoPhillips and IPIC Sign Agreements27/07/2006
ConocoPhillips and International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) of Abu Dhabi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to identify new upstream and downstream opportunities for joint investment. The parties also signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) to conduct a feasibility study for construction of a world scale refinery in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.


Aker Kvaerner and SINOPEC Sign MOU on International Projects27/07/2006
The Engineering and Construction Department of China Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC) signs MOU with Aker Kvaerner for joint execution of projects in the international marketplace. Three new plants to be built and cracker capacity to be increased by more than 40% at Sines petrochemical complex. Over 1,500 jobs will be created in the construction phase of the new facilities. The complex will have production capacity of one million tonnes of olefins and another million tonnes of polyolefins.

Aker Kvaerner Awarded Subsea Frame Agreement for Petrobras01/08/2006
Aker Kvaerner awarded two year frame agreement to supply subsea christmas trees to Brazil's national oil company Petrobras. Scope of work comprises 30 subsea christmas trees with associated tools. First call-off is to comprise 9 dual-bore christmas trees designed to 2000 metre water depth plus associated sets of tools. Deliveries to be completed from Aker Kvaerner's facility in Curitiba, Brazil, for delivery in next 12 months.


J. Ray McDermott Awarded Installation Projects in India03/08/2006
J. Ray McDermott awarded two new contracts to provide installation services. Both awards are part of field development activities by India's Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. First contract awarded by Samsung Heavy Industries. Second contract, awarded by Larsen & Toubro.


CB&I Awarded Major LNG Facility in Texas03/08/2006
CB&I has been awarded a contract by Golden Pass LNG Terminal LLC for the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of a liquefied natural gas import terminal located near Sabine Pass, Texas. At its peak, the project is expected to create over 1,000 construction jobs in Southeast Texas.


Mott MacDonald to Assist Czech Republic's Ministry of Environment with EU Cohesion Funding03/08/2006
Mott MacDonald appointed by Czech Republic's Ministry of Environment to help the Czech Republic make best use of an estimated 5.1 billion euros in funding available through the European Union's Cohesion Fund which aims to assist eligible Member States to catch up with Europe's wealthier regions by contributing to the improvement of transport, energy and environmental infrastructure.

Foster Wheeler Energy Limited and Foster Wheeler (Nigeria) Limited, in joint venture with National Engineering & Technical Company Limited (NETCO), awarded front-end engineering design (FEED) by Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) for non-associated gas wellhead platforms and pipelines portion of CNL's Olokola Gas Supply Project.


Shaw Awarded EPC Scrubber Contract by Mirant Corporation04/08/2006
Shaw Group's Shaw Stone & Webster unit awarded engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Mirant Corporation, to retrofit emissions controls at its three power generation facilities in Maryland. The flue gas desulphurization (FGD) units or "scrubbers," which are expected to reduce sulphur dioxide (SO2) emissions by approximately 95% will be installed at the Chalk Point, Dickerson, and Morgantown Generating Stations.


Mott MacDonald's Czech Business Wins River Radbuza Contract08/08/2006
Mott MacDonald's Czech Republic business based in Prague appointed to supervise water treatment and sewerage system reconstruction programme in the River Radbuza by Microregion Radbuza (voluntary association representing the eight municipalities sharing the river). Project valued at around 20.6 million euros will start in July 2006 and has been introduced to meet new EU directives.


Chevron and Keenan to Build and Operate Central Utility Plant09/08/2006
Chevron Energy Solutions and Keenan Development to build and operate $100 million central utility plant to provide secure energy to the National Interagency Biodefense Campus (NIBC) under construction at the United States Army's Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. When completed in early 2008, the new, energy efficient facility will deliver highly reliable steam, chilled water and conditioned stand-by emergency power to the NIBC.


Foster Wheeler to Begin FEED for Possible New ExxonMobil Chemical Complex in Singapore09/08/2006

Saipem awarded two new contracts worth in excess of 430 million USD for offshore construction in Egypt and Brazil. First contract is for engineering, procurement, installation, construction, awarded by Burullus Gas Company. Second contract, awarded by Companhia Mexilhao do Brasil, is for transport and installation of offshore structures related to Petrobras Mexilhao field development.


Jacobs Receives BASF Polyols Contract10/08/2006
Jacobs Engineering Group awarded contract to provide engineering and procurement services for BASF in Geismar. Project involves design and procurement for Polyol production units. Jacobs will execute contract from its offices in Baton Rouge, La., USA, and engineering centre in Mumbai, India.


SNC Lavalin Awarded Engineering Design Contract in Alberta10/08/2006
SNC-Lavalin signs engineering services contract with North West Upgrading Inc. to complete engineering design specifications for proposed North West upgrader in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Facility will treat bitumen, turning it into light, low sulphur products and diluent, which is used to keep bitumen flowing in a pipeline.


Petrofac to Provide Turnkey Facilities Management in Dubai11/08/2006
Petrofac take over responsibility for well and facilities management of Dubai's offshore oil and gas assets on behalf of Dubai Petroleum Establishment ("DPE") under new contract which became effective 7 August. DPE is a new entity wholly owned by the government of Dubai. Dubai offshore assets comprise four offshore oil fields with around 70 platforms, and around 1,100 personnel currently involved in running the operation. These staff will be employed by Petrofac from April 2007.


J. Ray McDermott Awarded Offshore Saudi Arabia Contract17/08/2006
J. Ray McDermott subsidiary awarded new contract from Saudi Aramco to supply 16 Production Deck Modules ("PDMs") for Saudi Arabia's offshore fields. J. Ray will carry out construction engineering, partial procurement, and fabrication of these modules at the company's Jebel Ali fabrication yard.


Jacobs Receives Uhde India EPCM Contract17/08/2006
Jacobs Engineering Group receives contract from Uhde India Ltd. to provide EPCM services for greenfield alumina refinery in the Rayagada District of Orissa State, India. Jacobs EPCM services will involve the refinery's bauxite crushing, calcination, storage, material handling, auxiliary buildings and facilities, and utilities systems. Uhde is providing engineering services for the process plant based on Alcan technology.


Shaw Awarded Construction Contract by U.S. Navy17/08/2006
Shaw Group announces award of Global Contingency Construction - Multiple Award Contract (GCC-MAC) to Atlantic Contingency Constructors LLC, a limited liability company formed by Shaw's Environmental & Infrastructure business unit, AECOM Government Services, Inc., and PAE Government Services. Shaw is managing partner of the LLC. Atlantic Contingency Constructors is one of three firms being awarded the cost-plus-award-fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for global contingency construction and support services worldwide.

SNC Lavalin and DKRW Advanced Fuels Form Alliance21/08/2006
DKRW Advanced Fuels and SNC-Lavalin GDS and SNC-Lavalin Constructors form alliance to develop, design and construct coal-to-liquid fuel projects each valued in excess of a billion dollars. Medicine Bow Fuel & Power LLC (MBF&P), a wholly owned subsidiary of DKRW Advanced Fuels, awarded contract to SNC-Lavalin GDS, Inc. and SNC-Lavalin Constructors Inc. to provide feasibility studies, FEED services, and turnkey EPC contractor services for DKRW's future coal-to-liquid projects.


Contract Awarded to Halliburton AS22/08/2006
Hydro enters into contract with Halliburton AS regarding delivery of equipment and services for carrying out coiled tubing operations on the Norwegian continental shelf. The framework agreement is valid for all Hydro-operated offshore installations. The company will establish a base for coiled tubing services in Bergen with support from Stavanger and Aberdeen.


Statoil Activity on Norwegian Continental Shelf23/08/2006
Statoil substantially expanded its exploration and development operations on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) over the past two years. The group is currently pursuing roughly 15 projects which could be sanctioned for development on the NCS in 2006 and 2007.

Foster Wheeler Awarded FEED for Pluto LNG in Australia30/08/2006
Foster Wheeler Energy selected by Woodside Energy Ltd. to undertake front-end engineering design for Woodside's planned Pluto Liquefied Natural Gas development in Western Australia. Foster Wheeler is leading a joint venture with WorleyParsons Services Pty Ltd. (the FWWP joint venture) in executing the FEED for this new liquefaction facility.


Westinghouse Signs New Nuclear Plant Contracts in South Korea30/08/2006
Westinghouse Electric Company has signed contracts valued in excess of $300 million to provide components, instrumentation and control equipment, Man-Machine Interface Systems, and technical and engineering support services for two new nuclear power plants to be built in the Republic of Korea.


Technip Awarded Contract For New Jubail Refinery30/08/2006
Technip awarded program management services (PMS) contract by Saudi Aramco and its partner Total, for development of large grass-roots refinery in Jubail on the east coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The contract will be executed by Technip's operations and engineering centre in Rome and by the Group's local affiliate, Technip Saudi Arabia.


AMEC Awarded Lead Role on Enbridge Oil Sands Pipeline Project31/08/2006
AMEC awarded contract for program and project management, engineering, and procurement services for the Enbridge Southern Access and Southern Lights Pipeline projects.
