| Dow and Aker Kvaerner Sign Cooperation Agreement | 05/07/2006 |
Dow Technology Licensing and Aker Kvaerner announce agreement between Union Carbide Chemicals & Plastics Technology Corporation (UCCPTC), a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, and Aker Kvaerner Netherlands BV to cooperate on delivering services to METEOR(TM) Ethylene Oxide /Ethylene Glycol (EO/EG) process technology licensees.  |
| Concession for Power Station Awarded to Statoil | 06/07/2006 |
Statoil awarded concession for constructing combined heat and power (CHP) station at the group's Mongstad refinery north of Bergen. The group's application for an emission permit is yet to be approved. The gas pipeline will supply the power station with natural gas from the Troll field in the North Sea. The power station is part of the Mongstad refinery upgrade.  |

Aker Kvaerner and Norwegian ship owner Aktieselskabet Borgestad ASA establish new company named Aker Borgestad Operations AS, combining expertise within oil field processing and marine operations. The new company will operate oil and gas production vessels on behalf of Aker Floating Production, a company which owns several Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units.  |

CB&I acquires fabrication shop in Beaumont, Texas, with deep water access to the Gulf of Mexico. The new facility will increase the Company's capacity to fabricate and transport large-scale process modules, shop-built vessels and large steel plate sub-assemblies  |
| Centrica Opens New Office in Norway | 10/07/2006 |
Centrica will expand its international exploration and production business by opening an office in Norway this week, ahead of its planned participation in the Norwegian licensing round in September. Norway is just one of the areas targeted by Centrica as part of its exploration strategy to secure new supplies for its British Gas customers. It also intends to look at the UK and Dutch sectors.  |

| BP and GE to Develop Hydrogen Power Plants and Technologies | 25/07/2006 |
BP and GE announce their intention to jointly develop and deploy hydrogen power projects that dramatically reduce emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide from electricity generation. BP and GE will collaborate on power, carbon capture and sequestration technologies.  |

| BP Pledges Higher Spend to Speed Up U.S. Safety Moves | 01/08/2006 |
BP announces an acceleration of actions to improve operational integrity and monitoring of its US businesses. The company said it would add a further $1 billion to the $6 billion already earmarked over the next four years to upgrade all aspects of safety at its US refineries and to repair and replace infield pipelines in Alaska.  |
| Venture Production Acquires CH4 Energy | 03/08/2006 |
Venture Production plc (Venture), the Aberdeen based UK independent oil and gas production company, acquires entire share capital of CH4 Energy Limited (CH4), a privately owned, UK headquartered gas production company. CH4's operations are focussed wholly on the southern North Sea gas basin and include a manned platform in the Dutch North Sea (DNS) and an onshore operating base near Amsterdam.  |
| 3i Sells Stake in SPS to M-I Swaco | 03/08/2006 |
3i today announced it is to sell its stake in Aberdeen-based, Specialised Petroleum Services Group Ltd (SPS) to M-I Swaco. The SPS founders and other shareholders are also exiting at this time. Purchase price for the whole company is approximately $165 million (£89 million). 3i and managed funds held a 51% stake in SPS.  |
| BP to Shutdown Prudhoe Bay Oil Field | 07/08/2006 |
BP Exploration Alaska began an orderly and phased shutdown of the Prudhoe Bay oil field following discovery of unexpectedly severe corrosion and small spill from a Prudhoe Bay oil transit line. Shutting down the field will take days to complete. Over time, these actions will reduce Alaska North Slope oil production by an estimated 400,000 barrels per day.  |
| ScottishPower Sells Knapton Power Station to RGS Energy | 08/08/2006 |
ScottishPower sells Knapton power station, comprising principally the site and 42MW open cycle gas turbine, to RGS Energy Limited (RGS), a subsidiary of US Energy Systems, for £15.5 million in cash. In addition, ScottishPower enters into long-term power purchase and gas supply agreements with RGS.  |
| Venture Operated Goosander Field On Stream | 09/08/2006 |
Venture Production plc, the Aberdeen based UK independent oil and gas production company, announced production successfully commenced from the Goosander oil field. Goosander is located in Block 21/12 within the Greater Kittiwake Area, a central North Sea oil production 'hub' operated by Venture.  |
| Wood Group ESP Opens New Facility in Alberta Canada | 11/08/2006 |
Wood Group ESP (Canada) Ltd., part of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), opens new 30,000 square foot facility in Leduc, Alberta, Canada to increase the business' manufacturing capabilities and service provided to WGESP's customers in the Canadian marketplace.  |
| Lundin Petroleum Acquires Interest in North Sea Peik Field | 15/08/2006 |
Lundin Petroleum AB acquires from Total an interest in the undeveloped Peik gas/condensate Field located in the United Kingdom and the Norwegian North Sea. The total cash consideration for the acquisition is USD 45 million. Peik Field straddles the border between the United Kingdom and Norway and is close to Lundin Petroleum's existing assets in the Alvheim area.  |
| BP Alternative Energy Buys US Wind Company | 15/08/2006 |
BP acquires all the shares of Greenlight Energy for a consideration of some $98 million, excluding working capital and tax adjustments. Greenlight is a developer of large-scale wind energy projects across the USA. Founded in 2000 and based in Charlottesville, Virginia, the company has a portfolio of some 39 mature and early stage development projects across the USA with a potential total power generating capacity of 6.5GW.  |
| Expansion of UK / Norwegian Oil and Gas Mentoring Scheme | 23/08/2006 |
UK must work closely with Norway to meet twin challenges of ensuring UK energy supply is both secure and clean, Malcolm Wicks, Minister for Energy said Monday. Speaking in advance of the Offshore Northern Seas Conference Malcolm Wicks said that the UK, like Norway, needed to work hard to extend the life of North Sea reserves.  |
| Hydro Plans New Gas Developments in the North Sea | 23/08/2006 |
Hydro start work on composing joint plan for development and operation of gas discoveries Camilla, Belinda, and Fram B in the North Sea, off the coast of the county Sogn and Fjordane. The Plan for Development and Operation (PDO) is scheduled to be submitted to the authorities by the end of 2006.  |
| Testing An Electromagnetic Method | 24/08/2006 |
Statoil and Discover Petroleum sign agreement for testing of an electromagnetic method that may increase probability of oil and gas discoveries. The aim of the method is to gather electromagnetic data with a view to identifying oil and gas in the reservoir. This will be used as a supplement to seismic data for calculating the probability of discovery.  |
| Statoil Aim For Another 20 Years on Gullfaks | 24/08/2006 |
The Gullfaks field in the North Sea has been producing for 20 years, and according to the original expectations, it should have been shut in by now. Statoil aims to operate the field for at least 20 more years.  |
| Chevron to Open Energy Technology Centres | 31/08/2006 |
Chevron Corporation is opening energy technology centres in Aberdeen, Scotland, and Perth, Australia. The two centers will provide research, development and technical services for the company's worldwide operations. Centres expected to open in early 2007 with approximately 100 technology professionals employed at each site.  |
| Aker Kvaerner Delivers Process Systems to Sonatrach | 31/08/2006 |
Aker Kvaerner awarded contract with Sonatrach of Algeria for delivery of process equipment to Sonatrach's Hassi Messaoud facility located 650 km southwest of Algeirs. The process equipment will provide electrostatic desalination and degassing of crude oil, and at the same time improve and upgrade Sonatrach's processing capacity and equipment at the Hassi Messaoud facility.  |
