SNC Lavalin ProFac and Qatar Partner Form New Company

SNC-Lavalin ProFac has formed a company with its local partner, Nasser Bin Khaled Al-Thani & Sons Holding Company W.L.L. (NBK) of Doha, Qatar to develop business opportunities in the management of facilities, real estate, projects, and industrial and infrastructure operations in Qatar.

The company, called SNC-Lavalin ProFac Gulf Management L.L.C. (SLPGM) has just signed its first contract to provide facility management services for a 10-year period for Al-Waab City - a development complex currently under construction within the city of Doha.

"I am confident that SNC-Lavalin ProFac's world class process and procedures approach to facilities management will provide a competitive advantage for SLPGM as it actively seeks to identify further opportunities for operations and maintenance services in the Gulf States."

SLPGM's contract will be carried out from a soon-to-be opened office in Doha. The contract goes into effect with the search for potential tenants for Al-Waab City's residential and commercial real estate still under construction.

The Al-Waab City Project represents more than a US$1.7 billion investment in the residential, commercial and public buildings and public spaces which will make up this self-contained community.
