Clean Fuels Project for CB&I

CB&I has been awarded a lump-sum turnkey contract by a major U.S. refiner to supply a diesel hydrotreater for one of its refineries in the United States. The project is valued in excess of US$50 million.

CB&I's scope of work for the project consists of the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of a 16,000 barrel per day diesel hydrotreater plus related ancillary equipment and systems. The unit will enable the refinery to produce ultra low sulfur diesel to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state specifications. Mechanical completion is expected by spring 2007.
