Subsea 7 Awarded Oseberg Delta Contract by Hydro
Subsea 7 has received an EPIC contract for the Oseberg Delta Project from Norsk Hydro ASA. The contract, valued in excess of NOK 420m, is a tieback to the Norsk Hydro operated Oseberg Field Centre via two 10" ID carbon steel production flowlines and an integrated service and control umbilical.
The basic work scope includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning of two 10" pipelines totaling 18km in length, procurement and installation of an integrated service umbilical and one flexible riser, all sub sea installation and construction work including trenching and rock dumping of the flow lines and the umbilical system. The work will be performed during 2006/2007 from Subsea 7's Stavanger office.
The contract award includes two significant options: 1) the G-Sentral Development, which is a new structure approx. 8 km South of Oseberg Delta with another 4-slot subsea station and two 10" flowlines and one umbilical, and 2) the Tune Phase 2 tie back, which is an extension to the Tune Phase 1 project completed by Subsea 7 in 2004 and which includes a 3.2 km, 8" flexible flowline and a service umbilical of similar length.
