Jacobs to Provide Program Services for GE Plastics

A Jacobs Engineering Group subsidiary has received a contract from GE Plastics to provide engineering services for the day-to-day small projects at the GE Plastics production site in Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands.

Jacobs is executing the work at the GE Plastics site with support from Jacobs' offices in Antwerp, Belgium, and Leiden, the Netherlands. The new work extends Jacobs' 16-year relationship with GE Plastics in Europe, which began with small project assignments at the GE Plastics facility in Grangemouth, Scotland. Jacobs also serves GE Plastics in the U.S.

GE Plastics is a leading producer of engineering thermoplastics worldwide. The Bergen op Zoom site is a major production facility for GE Plastics' differentiated product portfolio. Jacobs is providing services for the facilities that produce, amongst others, LEXAN(R) and NORYL(R), and for the related chemical plants, utilities, and infrastructure.
