Jacobs Receives Phosphoric Acid Plant Contract
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. have received a contract from La Societe Pakistan Maroc Phosphore, S.A. of Morocco, a joint venture between Groupe Office Cherifien des Phosphates (OCP) and Fauji Group, Pakistan, for the licensing and basic and detail design of a new phosphoric acid plant in Jorf Lasfar, Morocco.
This project is part of a larger complex in Jorf Lasfar and is the second project for Jacobs at this site. Production from the plant will be approximately 375,000 tons per year.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Pete Evans stated, "We are pleased to have this opportunity to work with both Groupe OCP and Fauji Group on this important project, which represents a significant strategic initiative for all the companies."
