Statoil Extend Smedivig Contract

Statoil is to extend its frame agreement with Smedvig for downhole services on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Worth just over NOK 100 million, it covers the Sleipner fields, Veslefrikk, Troll Gas and Kvitebjørn in the North Sea, Åsgard and Kristin in the Norwegian Sea, as well as exploration drilling.

The agreement with Smedvig Offshore covers wirelining as well as options for other downhole services and for a further two-year extension.
