Clough AMEC Forge Links With Woodside Energy
The Clough AMEC Joint Venture has been selected as the preferred tenderer for an Integrated Services Contract by Woodside Energy Ltd of Australia.
Clough AMEC will now enter the second stage of the procurement process with Woodside, in order to formalise an agreement by September 2005. Subject to the agreement, the Clough AMEC JV will perform a three year contract commencing on the 1st January 2006.
Initially the ISC will include Woodside's Oil assets located in the Wanaea Cossack Lambert Hermes (Cossack Pioneer FPSO), Enfield, Legendre and Laminaria-Corallina (Northern Endeavour FPSO) fields. Future growth opportunities, under this contract may flow from Woodside's new facilities as they commence production.
Mr David Singleton, CEO and Managing Director of Clough Limited, said: "We are delighted to be entrusted with such an important role for such a prestigious Australian Oil & Gas company. We are committed to bringing together the capabilities of both our companies to the benefit of our client. This success is entirely in line with the strategic goals that we set ourselves a year ago and is a great tribute to the efforts of our JV team.
Mr Neil Bruce, Managing Director of AMEC Oil & Gas expressed how important it was to AMEC and the Clough AMEC JV to be considered as part of the solution for Woodside Energy's needs as they move into an era of significant change and growth. This recognition by Woodside re-enforces the strategic position AMEC adopted, that there was a pattern of change in the Western Australian oil & gas market place, which with the right relationship would create significant opportunity.
