Alliance Wood Group Eng to provide EPC for Brazos Electric
Alliance Wood Group Engineering, a subsidiary of the John Wood Group, has been awarded a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services contract for Brazos Electric Cooperative's fuel gas compressor station for its Jack County Generation facility.
Alliance's scope of work comprises the engineering, design, drafting, material and equipment procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up services for the fuel gas compression station, which will be located in Wise County, Texas, approximately 70 miles northwest of Dallas.
The turnkey contract includes services for the installation of three 1000 horsepower Cooper RAM 52 reciprocating compressors each with 900 horsepower induction motor drivers complete with ancillary equipment, and two associated pipelines. The 5,100-foot, 12-inch supply pipeline will originate at the Devon Bridgeport Gas Plant and terminate at the compressor station. The 3,000-foot, 6-inch high-pressure gas return pipeline will extend from the compressor station back to the Devon Gas Plant. Both pipelines will include metering facilities containing 8-inch and 6-inch ultrasonic meters.
