Subsea 7 Win Total Dutch Sector Project

Subsea 7 LogoSubsea 7 have been awarded a contract by Total E&P Nederland B.V in the Dutch sector of the North Sea for work associated on subsea field development, L4G in block L4a, about 100km north-west of Den Helder. Contract value is in the region of $45M.

The contract covers two parts:
The first part is to tie-in the subsea L4G wellhead by means of a 10 kilometre umbilical and 6" gas line to the existing L4A platform. The second part is to connect the existing K6GT satellite by means of a 6.5 kilometre 10" gas line and a 3" glycol line from the existing K6 Central Complex in order to re-route the gas from K6GT.

Work will commence immediately with expected completion by the fourth quarter of 2005. The line pipe will be spooled onto the pipelay vessel at the Subsea 7's Leith spoolbase; the project management and engineering will be supported out of Aberdeen. Vessels likely to be utilised from the Subsea 7 fleet are the Pipelay Vessel, Skandi Navica, the ROV and Survey Vessel, Kommandor Subsea and a Diving Support Vessel over several phases.
