Wood Group-owned Deepwater Specialists Wins First Contract

Deepwater Specialists Inc, a subsidiary of John Wood Group, has been contracted by Amec to provide commissioning services for Shell's Bonga FPSO vessel, offshore Nigeria. The contract worth approximately US$4m is DSI's first contract win since joining Wood Group in April 2004.

DSI will support Amec in verifying construction readiness, pre-commissioning, and dynamic commissioning of all systems to ensure compliance with engineering design criteria. The company's dynamic commissioning support includes assisting in testing the functionality and proving the integrity of all production, storage and offloading systems for the FPSO.
