CNR International Awards Contract To Subsea 7
Subsea 7 have received a £6 million aggregate award from CNR International (U.K.) Limited for work associated with the Banff and Kyle Fields, located in approximately 90-meter water depths in the central North Sea.
The Banff scope of work includes the installation of a 120-tonne manifold to convert water injection wells into producers and the reconfiguration of another into a gas injection well. As part of the scope, a 6-inch flowline will be laid, and installation and disconnection of spools will also be required.
An additional workscope to tie in the Kyle Well 14 flowline to the Banff floating production, storage and offloading vessel will also be undertaken. Onshore planning and engineering has already begun, with offshore operations due to start in the third quarter 2004. Subsea 7 vessels Polaris and Pelican are expected to be used for these projects.
