bp Extends Caspian Contract With Aberdeen-based iicorr
bp has extended its contract with iicorr to work on its largest worldwide development project in the Caspian Sea.
iicorr are to recruit up to 40 staff to work alongside existing teams in Aberdeen and Baku. The contract is worth in excess of £2.2m a year to Aberdeen-based iicorr.
The contract entails provision of an inspection and integrity service on all bp Caspian facilities and pipelines. iicorr will be developing management systems and risk-based strategies as well as implementing inspection. It includes work on the pipeline from Azerbaijan, through Georgia, eventually reaching an offloading facility in Turkey.
iicorr's existing contract covers the current operational BP Caspian assets consisting of the Chirag platform, Sangachal terminal in Azerbaijan and associated land and marine pipelines. It also comprises new-build developments consisting of four offshore platforms, marine pipelines and a major extension to the Sangachal terminal.
