Foster Wheeler Energy Limited and Foster Wheeler (G.B.) Limited awarded contracts by CTCI Corporation (CTCI) for supply of a carbon monoxide boiler for CPC Corporation's (CPC) new residue fluidized catalytic cracker (RFCC) at CPC's Talin Refinery, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Project management will be performed by Foster Wheeler from its UK operating centre with additional engineering support from its Indian operations.

Jacobs Engineering Group receives contract from Centrica plc to provide front-end engineering services for an underground gas storage (UGS) project located in East Yorkshire, England. The project involves conversion of the substantially depleted Caythorpe onshore gas field, located close to the National Transmission System, into an onshore UGS complete with associated onshore pipelines and processing facilities.

DONG Energy, E.ON and Masdar Give Green Light to Build World's Largest Offshore Wind Farm
DONG Energy, E.ON and Masdar to invest Euros 2.2bn in building the first 630MW phase of the London Array offshore wind farm in the Thames Estuary. Once complete, the scheme will be the the world's largest, and the first 1GW, offshore wind farm. The project will supply enough power for around 750,000 homes - or a quarter of Greater London homes - and displace the emission of 1.9m tonnes of CO2 every year.

E.ON UK, RWE npower Joint Venture Successful in Bidding for Land at Wylfa and Oldbury for Nuclear New Build
RWE npower and E.ON UK confirm their nuclear joint venture vehicle successful in bidding for land at Wylfa and Oldbury in the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority's site auction. The companies plan to push ahead with the creation of a strong joint venture which aims to deliver at least 6GW of new nuclear capacity in the UK, with the first station coming online at around the end of the next decade.
